A full-time Special Education Teacher role is available for a K-12 school setting in Denver, CO. This is a leave replacement contract position starting as soon as possible through March 2, 2026, with the potential for extension to be determined by the end of February. The schedule is 40 hours per week, and the work location will be provided.
Qualified candidates must hold a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Professional Teaching License with a Generalist Endorsement for grades 5-21. Temporary, substitute, interim, or traveler licenses will not be considered unless the candidate has already applied for the appropriate SPED license with proof. The required license should be listed as Professional Teacher License #000000, Endorsed In: Special Education Generalist (5-21). This role is not open for virtual or hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEPs to support K-12 students with disabilities
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to student needs and alternative standards
- Collaborate extensively with multidisciplinary IEP teams, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the IEP process and compliance requirements
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual goals and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
